JAMMU, Mar 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K will launch month long Jana Jagaran Abhiyaan against Coronavirus in the UT from March 20 to April 20.
This was disclosed by J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina, while chairing a meeting of senior party leaders at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today. BJP J&K had earlier postponed its Janata drabars in view of mass prevalence of the Corona virus.
Addressing the meeting Ravinder Raina said that although the prevalence of the viral infection is in minimal stages as compared to other majorly involved nations of the world, but still the occurrence of the affected cases although in minimal volume has forced administration to take all the safety measures.
Raina, appealed to the general public at large to contribute in every way to contain the risk of getting infected by the viral strain as well as to check its deadly invasion into our lives. He requested the masses to be aware but not afraid.
Raina, said that this Abhiyaan will be a sensitization programme against Corona virus infection in J&K, for which BJP has entrusted senior party leaders to do the sensitization programmes at district levels. He added that after the districts, the programme will be held at the block levels by party leaders.
To supervise the programme, Dr. Nirmal Singh along with Ayodhya Gupta was allotted Jammu district. Anuradha Charak along with Ajay Vaid under the guidance of Sat Sharma for Jammu West district. Sham Lal Sharma for R S Pura district. Dr. Narinder singh for Samba district. Vikas Choudhary for Jammu rural. Anju Dogra and Rekha Mahajan for Akhnoor. Yudhvir Sethi for Nowshera. Baji Abdul Wahid for Rajouri. Vibodh Gupta for Poonch. Shakti Parihar for Kathua. Gopal Mahajan for Basohli. Dr. D K. Manyal for Udhampur. Priya Sethi for Reasi. Pawan Khajuria for Ramban. Arvind Gupta for Doda. Sunil Sharma for Kishtwar. Girdhari Lal Raina for Kashmir displaced district.
