POONCH, Mar 15: The residents of Dhargloon and Sandote area are suffering baldy in Balakote block of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch district due to the pathetic condition of a link road leading to Sandote village from Dhargloon.
Locals of the area claimed that the work was officially completed by the concerned authorities on this road several years ago but the road was not repaired after wards. It seems that the concerned authorities have forgotten to repair the road which is lying in shambles. Many vehicles get trapped during rains and also slip some times, inviting avoidable accidents.
The villagers further claimed that they are facing immense hardships due to the bad condition of the road. ” It is really pathetic that the administration is turning a blind eye towards the issue,” the residents added.
“The local Panchayat members are appealing the District Administration as well as the concerned R&B Department to take the cognizance of the issue and initiate repair work on the road, but nobody has taken cognizance of the matter so far,” they alleged.
