JAMMU, Mar 15: A labourer died today due to electrocution in Purkhoo area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a labourer identified as Sanjay Saini (age about 25 year) son of Tilak Ram Saini, resident of Gonda (UP), received severe electric current and died on the spot after he came in contact with a live wire at a construction site at Purkhoo.
He said after getting conducted postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while Kanachak police had taken cognizance of the matter.
