Militant hideout busted in Handwara forest, arms & ammunition recovered

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Thursday busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in the forest area in the border district of Kupwara in north Kashmir.
Official sources said that following specific information, a joint operation was launched by police, Army and CRPF in the forest area in Handwara on Thursday morning. “During the search, security forces unearthed a militant hideout,” they said.
They said incriminating materials, including UBGL, rocket-propelled grenade and rocket launcher, were recovered from the hideout. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added. (agencies)
