KATHUA, Apr 1: Police late last night seized two vehicles and recovered eight bovine animals at two separate nakas in Kathua district. These bovines were being smuggled to the State from Punjab.
However, the drivers of the vehicles managed to give a slip to police under the cover of darkness.
According to reports the Kathua police during a Naka at Magarkhad recovered five bovine animals from a vehicle bearing number JK03G 2096 while Lakhanpur Police recovered three bovine animals and seized a vehicle.
Case FIRs have been registered by both the Police Stations. But no arrest has been made so far.
