RAJOURI, Mar 19: The police arrested two absconders who were evading arrest for the last two years.
Acting on a specific information, a Dharamsal police party led by SHO arrested both the wanted accused from a house. They were identified as Jan Mohammed, son of Wali Mohd and Maqbool Hussain, son of Jan Mohd, both residents of Baghla in Taryath area of Kalakote. A case FIR No. 37/ 2018, under sections 451/ 323 RPC was registered against them at Dharmsal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a police party from Rajouri today nabbed a drug -peddler and recovered a small quantity of heroin powder from him. Identified as Majid Ali Shah, son of Showkat Ali Shah, from Doodasan, he was nabbed by police from Atti village. Nearly, 5 gms heroin was recovered from him. A case FIR No. 145/ 2020 was registered against him.
