JAMMU, Mar 20: Former MLA and JKPCC Spokesman, Ashok Kumar has urged upon J&K Government to remove the debris and big boulders gathered due to heavy landslides on the National Highway (NH) stretch between Udhampur and Banihal.
He said that public of Ramban is facing a lot of difficulties due to the debris on highway and dozens of people have lost their lives due to negligence by construction companies and district administration.
JKPCC leader claimed that traffic menace on National Highway from Udhampur to Banihal on the account of non-clearance of debris has resulted in many mishaps.
He said that different construction companies and contractors have created mismanagement and negligence on National Highway construction project due to their unauthentic survey and improper planning, and mismanagement by the district administration.
Ashok urged upon the Lt Governor of J&K to personally intervene into the matter.
