Burglary case worked out, one held

JAMMU, Apr 1: Police today worked out a burglary case with the arrest of a thief and recovery of the stolen gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh.
Police spokesman said that, on March 27, 2013, Bachan Kour, wife of Mukhtiyar Singh of Kirpind, Miran Sahib, lodged a complaint with police station Miran Sahib that some thieves barged into her house and decamped with a gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh.
A case under FIR number 37/13 under Section 457 and 380 RPC has been registered and investigation started, he added.
During investigation, police arrested Balwinder Singh alias Raja, son of Ranjeet Singh of Kirpind, Miran Sahib, who during questioning accepted his involvement in the theft, he said.
On his disclosure, police recovered stolen gold chain worth Rs one lakh, he added.
Police party led by SHO Ravi Singh Parihar made the arrest, under the supervision of SDPO Diwakar Singh and SP Headquarters, Shailender Singh.
