JAMMU, Mar 20: Digiana police arrested two drug peddlers along with 5 grams heroin and Rs 30,000 cash.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Digiana Police Post led by SI Sandeep Kumar laid a naka at T Chowk Preet Nagar and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 5 grams heroin and Rs 30,000 cash from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Uttam Singh, son of Onkar Singh of Gangyal, District Jammu and Vishal Sharma, son of Ram Pal Sharma of Nanak Nagar, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 76/2020 under section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
