JAMMU, Mar 23: National Health Mission Employees Association (NHMEA), as a rare gesture of dutifulness and humanity, during the Coronavirus pandemic has established 24×7 helpline services at all district headquarters, where information, advice and assistance as regards Coronavirus shall be available to general public 24×7 of the week, by NHM doctors.
The helpline numbers were released by Chander Mohan Gupta-Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), at a simple but very impressive function, observing all the necessary precautions required for prevention of Coronavirus. The declaration to this effect was made by Rohit Seth, president, All JK National Health Mission Association.

Speaking on the occasion, JMC Mayor said that such voluntary noble gestures strengthen our resolve and capacity to fight against such catastrophes. He further said that I had always seen employees fighting for their rights and demanding increase in their wages, but it is for the first time an employees’ organization has come forward to offer voluntary service and opted to risk their lives to mitigate the sufferings of their fellow brethren, despite being temporary/contractual employees.
He also called upon other organizations, specifically Health Employees Organizations, NGO’s and others to take a cue from NHM Employees Association and to come forward, to offer voluntary services to the people at this hour of crisis as a humanitarian gesture.
