JAMMU, Mar 31: BJP national vice president, former MP and Jammu Kashmir Prabhari, Avinash Rai Khanna, has appealed to the Government of India and Jammu Kashmir Government to issue toll free numbers at Sub Division level of all the districts to provide required help to the senior citizens, whose children are away from homes and who are living alone in these days of lockdown.
Khanna said that in view of the outbreak of Corona Virus, the Governments at the Centre and in the UT are tirelessly making efforts for the safety and well being of the people and the senior citizens, who are single or whose children have gone abroad to study or for business and are trapped there due to Corona tragedy, need to be taken care in case of any emergency. For this purpose, toll free numbers would prove to be helpful for them.
The BJP leader stressed upon the Government to ensure that after issuing the Toll-Free numbers, adequate arrangements are made to provide immediate help to senior citizens seeking help on these numbers.
Meanwhile, Khanna also appealed to the people to strictly follow the preventive measures and cooperate the administration in its fight against deadly Virus, which need to be contained at the earliest.
