DC Samba takes stock of essential services

SAMBA, Apr 3: Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting to review the steps taken by district administration to contain the spread of coronavirus in the district.
The DDC informed that various steps have been taken including 24×7 control room, deputation of nodal officers, door to door campaign, screening and registration of outsiders, complete facilities at quarantine centres, distribution of ration to migrant labourers and other affected families besides various other measures like constant monitoring and quick action team has been taken.
Chief Medical Officer informed that 521 persons have travelled abroad in past one month. They have been quarantined and out of which 20 have been discharged. Regular screening of suspected patients is under way and asymptomatic are put under home quarantine.
DC directed the Nodal Officer COVID, ADC Samba to constitute a committee for verifying the travel details of all the visitors in the district and take necessary action as follow up. He exhorted upon all the officers to maintain Social distance while executing their duties. He laid emphasis upon providing details of standard labourers in the district and all the essential items be made available to them.
DC said largest quarantine centre has been made functional in block Vijaypur and all the essential items have also been made available to the people kept under quarantine.
ADC, Vikas Gupta, SDM Ghagwal, Ram Kesh Sharma, District Information Officer, Ajay Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar, besides Medical Officer and Labor Officer were also present on the occasion.
