NPP pays homage to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his birth anniversary

JAMMU, Apr 5: National Panthers Party (NPP) today paid homage to former Deputy Prime Minister, Babu Jagjivan Ram on his 113th birth anniversary through online video calls.
Led by Prof Bhim Singh, chief patron of J&K National Panthers Party and comprising Yashpal Kundal, Ex Minister, Faqir Nath, Ex MLA, Sanjay Sachdev, Advisor Panthers Party (Delhi), Naresh Ambedkar, president Tamil Nadu National Panthers Party and other leaders from UP, Bihar, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh remembered Babu Jagjivan Ram and his contribution for the nation particularly when he was Agriculture Minister and Defence Minister of India.
The Panthers leaders accused the Union Government for ignoring the ‘Samta Day’ celebration on Babu Ji’s birthday and regretted that instead of paying public homage to Babu Jagjivan Ram, the Prime Minister hurt the people of India by issuing a kind of message on Twitter, whereas the Union Ministers and others observed a distance from the ‘Samta Diwas’.
Professor Singh said that it was an insult to the contribution and history of one of the greatest builders of present India who represent Parliament of India from 1936 to 1986 without any break.
They described Babu Jagjivan Ram as one of the great revolutionaries who led the movement to develop classless society in India which has contributed heavily after the leadership of Dr BR Ambedkar whose contribution towards promoting a classless society under the Constitution of India.
