POONCH, Apr 5: A 58-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in his village Qasba in Poonch, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Jan Ali Khan of Qasba, who has apparently committed suicide by hanging.
Reports said that some locals informed the police about the body hanging from a tree at Qasba area following which a police team reached the spot and shifted the dead body to a nearby hospital for all medico legal formalities.
According to SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law for further investigations into the incident. “The investigations have been initiated and all the angles will be looked into it,” the officer said.
