KVM delegation calls on DC

JAMMU, Apr 3: A deputation of Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) Kathua called on Jitendra Kumar Singh the District Development Commissioner Kathua in his office and welcomed him on taking over the charge of DDC Kathua. The KVM delegates led by Prof. Ram Murti Sharma President of the Manch saught attention of DDC towards their demands.
It demanded widening of Shaheed Capt. Sunil Choudhary Chowk, Jarai More Chowk and Sheedi chowk, provision of suitable crossing with flyover bridge at Hatli More on National Highway, beautification of strip between Canal and Link Road from Gurudwara Sawan Chak to Kuka Chak in the shape of strips, lawns, plantations and electrifications preferably with the co-operation of NGO’s and Industrial Unit Operators and proper implementation of JNURM programme or other allied schemes.
The delegation also demanded provision of Zebra Crossings and Flash Lights on Kali Bari – Hatli Morh Road, provision of parking zone near Shaheedi Chowk Kathua, speedy execution of construction work of already identified toilets blocks and construction of additional bridges for linking Ward No. 4 to fruit market and dream park to Ward No. 13 and 14 respectively.
