3 held, 13 bovine animals rescued

JAMMU, Apr 3: Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and recovered 13 bovine animals in two different incidents.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka at Domail, Katra and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK03-0880.
During checking, police recovered 9 bovine animals and arrested two persons identified as Amir Hussain of Anantnag and Abdul Hami of Marallia.
A case has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
In another incident, Nagotra police arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued 4 milch animals from his possession.
On specific information, police party from Nagrota police station laid a naka and intercepted a Tavera car bearing registration number JKO1P-4216. During checking, police recovered 4 bovine animals and arrested the driver identified as Mohd Yousuf of Tral.
In this regard, a case stands registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police parties led by SHOs Parvez Sajjad and OP Chib, made the arrests under the direct supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary and officiating SSP Rajeshwar Singh.
