JAMMU, Apr, 9: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is always in forefront whenever nation faces any kind of crisis. Swayamsevaks always came to help the motherland and played their crucial role in helping the people in the hour of crisis.
This was stated by Brig .(retd) Suchet Singh, Prant Sanghchalak of RSS, J&K while talking to reporters here, today.
He said whether, it was the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir, floods in Kashmir or cloud burst in Ladakh. India which is densely populated is facing hardships due to COVID-19 and Jammu and Kashmir too affected by this Pandemic.
Brig Suchet Singh said that in this hour of crisis Swayamsevaks are helping the poor and needy without differentiating the caste, creed, culture and religion. From the very first day of the lockdown Sangh Parivar launched the relief distribution drive among the people who were mostly affected. Brig. Singh said that “Sewa Bharti Sankat Mochan Dal played a major role in providing the relief to the needy persons not only in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir but also in the UT of Ladakh and Sankat Mochan Dal was the first to start the relief material distribution among the affected people which includes laborers from the various states along with the poor people of the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh”.
He further disclosed that, till now 3000 Swayamsevaks’ are serving the needy families by distributing the relief material in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. In 15 days of lockdown 12 thousand families were provided relief material at 663 places. Besides, face masks and sanitizers, 20Kg dry ration is being provided to each family. Swayamsevaks also sanitized nearly 2000 places in city and various rural areas which includes schools, Mohallas, various religious places and around five thousand packets of cooked food were provided to the affected families during this period. Sewa Bharti is making 2000 masks daily at its various facilities. Sankat Mochan Dal which is in forefront is taking care of three thousand security forces personal deputed at various places by providing tea, juices and biscuits daily, added Prant Sanghchalak.
Dr. Goutam Mengi Prant Seh Sangh Chalak said that a general helpline desk has been established in every district of UT for convenience of people by the Sewa Bharti an affiliate of RSS. Meanwhile, RSS today also launched a Medicos helpline of dedicated team of doctors which includes various specialists to serve the public. He also appealed the public to adhere the guidelines set by doctors and the Government in wake of Covid-19 pandemic. Sewa Bharti, Northen Region’s general secretary organization Jai Dev Dada was also present on this occasion.
