JAMMU, Apr 11: Former MLC and senior BJP leader, Ashok Khajuria today made an appeal to people from all walks of life to make a firm resolve that country will succeed in its ongoing fight against the dreaded COVID -19 which has taken a heavy toll all over the world.
In a statement issued here, today, Khajuria said alone Government can’t fight out this dreaded disease without the cooperation of people from all walks of life. He said it is bounden duty on all of us to act as per the advisories issued by Health and Medical Education Department of J&K UT and Ministry of Health, Government of India and make the lockdown a success for our own safety and the safety of the others.
Khajuria said instead of hiding the travel history people should voluntarily come forward and reveal the facts before the authorities so that there can’t be any major problem later.
Khajuria, while complimenting the Prime Minster, Narendra Modi for taking appropriate steps in combating the deadly virus which has created havoc across the globe asked the people as well as political parties to sink their differences and support the PM and be solidly behind the nation to defeat this dreaded virus.
He said it is not occasion for settling political scores or one upmanship in politics but to show unity so that nation overcomes the crisis created due to spread of COVID-19.
Khajuria said it is attesting time for the nation and India has a history whenever nation faced such type of crisis people irrespective of their caste, region and religion unitedly faced them.
