Several contributes for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 12: To supplement the Government efforts to contain COVID-19 spread, Kissan Morcha president Omi Khajuria along with Block president Ashok Kerni donated Rs 1.51 lakh in PM CARES Fund. The cheque of the amount was submitted to State president of BJP, Ravinder Raina in presence of Jugal Kishore Sharma (Member of Parliament) and State general secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, at BJP Headquarter, Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir Bank Retired Employees Welfare Association under the president ship of Mohinder Singh and general secretary RK Bhan with all the executive members of all the units of Jammu province constituting more than 400 retired employees and officers have contributed Rs 2,51,000 in PM CARES Fund. The contribution has been made by the retired officers from all the units including Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch etc.
Senior National Conference leader and former MLA Thakur Rachpal Singh today donated his one month’s pension towards the fund meant for well being of the people of Kalakote. He exhorted people to stay home and not to get panicky due to gloomy scenario.
“This is an unprecedented situation that calls for extra-ordinary response so that miseries of people are minimized”, the former MLA said, hoping that the society at large will supplement Governmental efforts.
