SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Three houses were today damaged in a massive fire in the congested downtown Srinagar.
Official sources said that fire broke out from a house at Noorbagh area of Safa Kadal in downtown Srinagar today.
Fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot to douse off the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance. However, the fire spread to adjoining houses,” they said, adding before the flames were doused off three houses were damaged.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said, adding a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the cause of the incident. “No one was injured in the fire incident,” they added.
