JAMMU, Apr 4: Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora today informed the House that possibilities are being explored to enhance the fund allocation under Capital City Development Programme for improving basic civic facilities in Municipal limits of the State.
Replying to a question by Mohammad Irfan Shah and supplementaries of Bharat Bhushan, Peer Afaq, Er Abdul Rashid, Indu Pawar and Krishan Chander Bhagat, the Minister said, “the population residing in the urban areas is increasing day by day due to migration from rural areas”, adding “besides keeping maximum provision under State Plan the funds for the purpose would be also arranged under district plan and by generating revenue through Municipal Committees for the purpose”.
