ReTs, EVs appeal Govt to meet their demands

SRINAGAR, Apr 4: Jammu and Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum appealed Government and concerned officials to fulfill their promises made to them during last one decade-including implementation SRO 43 and conversion of Education Volunteers (EV) on 5+2 pattern as teacher grade.
The Forum also have demanded from the State Government to frame a transfer policy for ReT teachers, induction of Education Volunteers converted into ReT in SRO 43 besides considering their other genuine demands.
Jammu and Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum General Secretary, Farooq Ahmad Tantray has asked the Government to accept their genuine demands which include five years of rendered service for promotion benefits, enhancement of wages, quashing of transfer policy and SRO-43.
The Forum also said that there are hundreds of influential teachers working as clerks in different CEO, ZEO and DIET offices of the State which a put a burden on already teacher student ratio in the State. “We demand that there should be a proper transfer policy to put these teacher on teaching service in different schools of the State,” they said.
