JAMMU, Apr 18: Distribution of ration and essential items continued in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh distributed ration among the ST community residing in Upper Paloura, adjoining Janipur area.
Arvind Gupta, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party handed over 200 bags of flour and 1500 face masks for distribution to the needy persons to J&K BJP General Secretaries Sunil Sharma (Former Minister) and Vibodh Gupta (Former MLC) at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Bank of India, Jammu Center, Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I carried out the 2nd phase of distribution of dry ration to the needy and distressed people here at Gol Pulli, Talab Tillo, Jammu. The exercise was organized under the guidance of Dr Smita Murmu the first lady of J&K. Chief Manager Satwari Branch Puneet Gupta, General Manager NBG North 1 Salil Kr Swain and Zonal Manager Vasudev, Deputy Zonal Manager Kewal Kumar Garg, both Amritsar Zone, Harish Khurana, PRO, NBG North-I, Kunal Dogra Senior Branch Manager Jammu Branch Janak Raj Branch Manager Gangyal, Kunal Sharma Branch Manager Vijaypur, Abhey Mahajan, Credit Manager, Dr Sudhir Mahajan eminent Theatre Director and Founder Samooh Theatre, Anita Chand Puri State Secretary Samooh Theatre, Princy Bhat, Kamal Chandpuri, Puneet Gupta and many others were present on the occasion.
Senior leaders of District Congress Committee Jammu Urban carried forward the relief distribution in the Ambphala, old Rehari area of the city to provide ration to the poor. Led by Yogesh Sawhney Former Minister and General Secretary PCC, Incharge District President Jammu Urban, senior leader and contested candidate Jammu West SS Shingari, Secretary PCC Neeraj Gupta, Chairman PCC OBC Dept Suresh Dogra, Varun Mangotra, Coordinator DCC, Ricky Dalotra PCC General Secretary, the team distributed the ration material to the needy people in the area, based upon inputs of the party’s control room.
Shiv Mandir, Bharat Nagar Bantalab in collaboration with Pt Dina Nath Sharma Charitable Trust distributed essential raw food item packets to the needy people in the locality nearby.
Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Vinod Malhotra, along with staff distributed ration and other food items to 95 poor and needy families of Nanak Nagar and its adjoining areas. Besides this, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with International Associations for Human Values (Art of Living) also distributed ration and food items to 100 families of Mishriwala.
