UDHAMPUR, Apr 19: A young man was `accidentally’ shot dead by his own brother when they had gone for hunting of wild animals in a forest area under the jurisdiction of Majalta Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (36), son of Dhani Ram of village Vilas Pur Majalta. He along with his brothers Vijay Kumar and Charan Dass had gone for hunting where Ashok Kumar received fatal injury because of bullet fired by one of his brothers and died.
Besides registering a case FIR 36/20 under Section 304 of IPC and 3/25 of the Arms Act, Police has arrested both Vijay Kumar and Charan Dass.
Even as the family members did not disclose cause of death Police came to know about the incident through some sources and swung into action. The Police took the body into its custody and shifted the same to PHC for postmortem for initiating legal action.
Meanwhile, one Som Raj (38), son of Amar Nath of village Blota in Basantgarh, was found hanging from a tree near his house. Local people saw the man hanging and immediately called the Police. Basantgarh police shifted the dead body to PHC for the postmortem and registered a case for further investigation in this regard.
