Sadhotra seeks participation of youth in socio-economic reconstruction

JAMMU, Apr 4: Stressing the need for channelizing the energies of youth towards socio-economic transformation of the State, Minister for Planning, Labour and Employment Ajay Kumar Sadhotra on Thursday called upon the youngsters to share the responsibilities of steering Jammu and Kashmir to pinnacles of progress and development.
Welcoming a group of the new entrants into National Conference at village Alora in Marh constituency this afternoon, the Minister said youth hold promise for the State and the nation.
He reposed immense confidence in the youth, saying they stand guarantee to the accomplishment of Sher-i-Kashmir’s mission of making Jammu and Kashmir a vibrant and progressive State. He described National Conference a historic movement that has shaped the destiny of the people during most testing times and stands guarantee to progress, peace and development of the three regions and sub-region.
The Minister urged youth to strengthen the party further, making it an effective instrument of change.
Dwelling upon initiatives taken for securing the future of educated unemployed, the Minister said while 80,000 posts are being filled on fast track basis through recruitment agencies, several other measures like SKEWPY and Voluntary Service Allowance scheme have been introduced to mitigate their problems.
He also urged the youth to take benefit from various employment generating schemes, saying the Government has designed these to give fillip to entrepreneurship development. He made a fervent appeal to youngsters to help realizing the vision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah by reactivating the party in every nook and corner of the State and get engaged in service of the people.
The Minister referred to progress achieved in different sectors during the past four years and asked youngsters to fan out with the performance card of the Chief Minister and aware the people about the gains of peace.
