33 works under RGGVY scheme commissioned in Raipur-Domana: Vikar

JAMMU, Apr 4: Minister of State for Technical Education, Vikar Rasool Wani today informed the Legislative Assembly that implementation of RGGVY scheme is being done on turnkey basis by PDC and NHPC and all the transformers installed under RGGVY by these agencies have been erected after the third party inspection. In case of damage to the transformer the executing agencies are bound to replace the same within the guarantee period. He said the Stacked Core Type Transformers are being used in M&RE Wing and the 25 KVA transformers installed under RGGVY are of different design and the Divisional Workshops are not in a position to repair the same due to lack of trained staff. Despite repeated promises by the NHPC authorities to depute a team of skilled technicians to train the local workshop staff no training has been imparted as yet, he said. The transformers installed under RGGVY, which get damaged are replaced from the buffer stock of existing 25 KVA transformers, said the Minister.
Replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Bharat Bushan, the Minister maintained that in Raipur Domana Constituency, 33 works have been commissioned by NHPC under RGGVY Scheme, out of which six 25 KVA Distribution Transformers have got damaged and three have been augmented (two from 25 KVA to 100 KVA at Mishi Mohalla Barn and Patta and one from 25 KVA to 63 KVA at Simbliwals) three have been replaced from 25 KVA to 25 KVA (Dhayaran and Kargail and Seri). All these transformers have been replaced and augmented from the inventory available with the workshop sub-division of EM & RE Division-III, Jammu/ Central Workshop Jammu, said Mr. Vikar.
