POONCH, Apr 21: An elderly villager was died of lightning in Balnoi area of Mankote in district Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as Hussain Mohammed (62), resident of Balnoi village near the Line of Control in Mankote tehsil of Mendhar Sub Division. The tragedy struck near Lor Devta, near his village when the villager was grazing his sheep and goats. It started rain and thunder storm and suddenly, a strong beam of light from the sky hit the villager, killing him on the spot. Some sheep were also injured in the tragedy.
