Manipal Hospital launches video consultation in Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 23: Amid COVID-19 crisis and nationwide lockdown, Manipal Hospitals, New Delhi, with its commitment to provide world-class healthcare services to people have launched video consultation for the residents of the city and nearby areas.
The hospital has taken up this initiative for society and it enables people to maintain good health by following the guidelines of the lockdown and social distancing. The facility aims to reduce the stress of people who are unable to reach out to hospitals for treatment.
Announcing the launch of video consultation, Dr Yugal K Mishra, Chief of Clinical Services and Head of Cardiac Sciences said, “video consultation would avoid physical contact and encourage social distancing to contain the outbreak and make medical services available to the patients at their ease. The initiative has been taken because of lockdown to contain the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak.
“Registered patients can book an appointment with our specialists from different departments as per their requirements for video consultation. We have begun the video consultation for the ease of local residents. We are hopeful that like people of other parts of the country, residents of Jammu and nearby areas would also be benefited with best-in-class health care services through Video Consultation which can be availed from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Saturday,” informed Dr Mishra.
People can avail video consultation with key specialists from departments of Cardiology, Gynaecology, Neurology, Oncology, Liver & Kidney among others. The facility aims at putting Non-COVID patients at ease and gives them best-in-class healthcare at home in the time of national lockdown.
