RAMBAN, Apr 23: Banihal police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Parvaiz Ahmed Malik, son of Mohammad Ayoub Malik of Krawa with Police Station Banihal stating that during the intervening night of April 11 and 12, some thieves entered into his house and decamped with copper utensils.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 67/2020 under sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, some suspects were rounded up and finally two thieves identified as Ahsan ul Haq, son of Bashir Ahmed and Ghulam Nabi Akhoon, son of Mohammad Yaqoob Akhoon, both residents of Krawa Tehsil Banihal were arrested.
On their disclosure, police team recovered the stolen copper utensils.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led SI Zaheer Iqbal of Police Staiton Banihal made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Banihal Inspector Aabid Bhukhari Shah, SDPO Banihal Ashish Gupta, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur Rehman.
