JAMMU, Apr 23: Distribution of ration and essential items among needy persons continued in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Kits of dry food ration were distributed to the most needy families viz widows, orphans and poor beneficiaries residing in far flung area of Chambber Kinari (Sawjian), Mandi district Poonch by Cluster Head JK Bank, LDM A.K Gupta in presence of Tehsildar Mandi, SHO Sawjian, civil society and sarpanchs.

JK UT Youth Convenor AJKPC and Naib Sarpanch Panchayat Kail Nirmal Kesar along with his companions went door to door in Panchayat Kail and distributed masks to the people.
The Sara team led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed essential food items among 21 families of migrant labourers in Waliyabad area near Sidhra Bypass Jammu.
Third Eye Anti Crime Team distributed ration to the needy people including handicaps and elderly people living in Ward Numbers 6, 9 and 11 of Bishnah. Chairman of organization Sham Lal Gupta and SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania were also present on the occasion. Councillor of Municipal Committee Bishnah Sahil Gupta was also seen supporting this social work of the organization. Members of the organization included Sansar Chand, Ravi Kumar, Neha Mehra, Rajesh Kumar, Tushar Digra, Krishna Lal, Manmohan Singh, Chandar Shekhar, and other volunteers.

RSS Swayamsevaks distributed dry ration to more than five hundred families at Marble Market, Trikuta Nagar, Qasim Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Jeevan Nagar, Anand Nagar Bohri, New Plot, Janipur and Roop Nagar. A community kitchen managed by Swayamsevaks is also being run at Nai Basti, where eight hundred souls were fed daily.
BJP Councillor from Anantnag and Director Railway Board Sheela Kaul Handoo distributed handmade face mask to the staff of Migrant Hospital in Jagti Township, elderly and other poor people. She along with her team also distributed ration among 200 families in Sharika Vihar, Durga Nagar and Roop Nagar areas.
Under the directions of District Magistrate Leh Sachin Kumar, free ration were distributed among 644 migrant labourers at Spituk, Housing Colony and Murtsey colony. Besides the free ration, soaps, face masks and sanitary napkins were also distributed among the labourers.
