Several donate for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 25: Continuing the ongoing fight against COVID-19 by gathering donations from inhabitants belonging to various areas of Jammu West towards PM CARES Fund, BJP Jammu West handed over the second installment of cheques and cash amounting to Rs 4,09,401 to State general secretary BJP (organization) Ashok Koul.
The amount was handed over to Ashok Koul by Ex MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma in presence of former MLC and Incharge PM CARES Fund Vikram Randhawa and other part leaders. BJP Jammu West has already submitted Rs 2 lakh to BJP president Ravinder Raina and this is the second installment of donation to be contributed towards PM CARES Fund.
Sunil Kumar Sawhney District Officer of Rotary International District 3070 duly nominated by the Club President Dr Anil Amla, on behalf of Rotary Club of Jammu handed over cheques worth Rs 1.5 lakh contributed by the club members for PM CARES Fund to Dr Nirmal Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K. This amount is a part of the total contribution of the Club i.e. Rs. 3.5 lakh and rest of the amount has been deposited online.
Mulkh Raj Ashok Kumar (MRAK) Jewellers donated Rs 1.11 lakh in favour of the PM CARES Fund. Ankur Suri, Managing Director MRAK Jewellers handed over the cheque to J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina in presence of former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, BJP J&K vice president Yudhvir Sethi, district Jammu president Vinay Gupta and BJP district Jammu general secretary Ankush Gupta at BJP Headquarters.
