Car, tanker damaged; one hurt in landslides

RAMBAN, Apr 25: A Government employee was injured when shooting stones and landslides hit a car and oil tanker on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramsu area of Ramban during this afternoon.
Official sources said that when the movement of vehicles was being allowed towards Kashmir from Jammu side, suddenly shooting stones hit a car No. JK02BT/2583, causing extensive damage to it. An oil tanker following this car was also damaged in land slides and shooting stones. Large quantity of fuel loaded in the tanker was also flown out on the road.
The road remained blocked for about an hour and later the traffic was restored on the highway after road clearance work. The injured employee was identified as Mirza Kumael, posted in J&K Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Janipur, Jammu.
Being Darbar Move employee, Mirza was going to his home in Srinagar. He was shifted to Ramban hospital by police. The traffic remained disrupted on the highway at Panthyal for about an hour.
