JAMMU, Apr 26: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued in different parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former Minister and Incharge Ladies Helpline COVID-19 J&K Priya Sethi and UT President Kissan Morcha Omi Khajuria along with SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Parihar distributed ration and relief material to approximately 100 families at Bazgaaar Basti, Ward Number 10 Panchayat Mishriwala. General Secretary Raman Singh, Rohit Verma, Sarpanch Pallive Verma, Mandal Pradhan Ashok Kerni, Naib Sarpanch Sabjeet Singh, Panch Jagdesh Singh, Joginder Singh, Sandeep Verma, Sushil Kumar, Panch Amar Jaral and Ankit Sharma were present on the occasion.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa distributed ration and masks among hundred needy families of Karan Bagh, Gadi Garh and Bhour Camp in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment. Others present on the occasion include Bharat Bhushan Mandal Pradhan, Advocate Amrik Singh, Mohinder Singh, Paras Ram, Mohit Raina and Pitambar Lal.
Advocate Purnima Sharma flagged off the distribution of free monthly ration in Ward Number 1 to the Antyodaya Anna Yojna, Below Poverty Line and priority household families as per the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package 2020. As per this, 278 families of Ward Number 1 are being provided free monthly ration which includes 5 Kg rice per head and other commodities. Shubh Lata Sharma State Executive Member, Sunita Wazir Mahila Morcha Mandal General Secretary, Gopal Sanotra Mandal Office Secretary, Deepak Kumar Photographer, Team of Booth Presidents, Team of Ward Presidents and other prominent members of the ward were also present.
President Rani Welfare Society Savita Parihar, Retd SSP along with other office bearers took another opportunity of providing ration kit to families of far flung area of Panchayat Latti-A, district Udhampur through Kasturi lal Gupta Sarpanch, Mohammad Tariq Malik Naib Sarpanch alongwith other panches under the supervision of Darshan Kumar Chairman BDC Latti. considering the hardships and suffering of the villager living in remote areas, the NGO undertook that exercise Other members of the NGO who contributed are Kamini Mahajan Vice President, Randhir Singh General Secretary, Kaveri Choudhary Treasurer and Narinder Kumar Member.
The Mahila Morcha team of BJP under its initiative ‘Feed The Needy’ distributed dry ration and masks among needy families in Shakti Nagar area of Jammu West. The distribution of essential commodities was made by BJP Office Secretary, J&K Reema Padha alongwith another leader Sneh Lata Seth.
All India Students Federation (AISF) Doda distributed rice, oil, salt, soyabeen and soap among needy people of village Malwana and Gwari of Block Gundna of District Doda. Mukesh Parihar former State President of All India Students Federation Jammu and Kashmir, District General Secretary Raj Kumar, District President Sulinder Parihar, Om Singh, Kamaljeet Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Rishi Kumar were present on the occasion.
“We The Human” donated 20 free ration kits for fifty persons from Madhya Pradesh, stuck up at Bhatindi Jammu in presence of police team from Police Post Bhatindi led by SI Kamalpreet Singh.
Set India Trustee Rajesh Sharma along with volunteers Naveen Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar distributed door to door flour in Rajpura Magotrain, Shiv Nagar and covered 38 needy families. The volunteers also distributed 200 masks made by Jawahar Lal and his family from Rajpura Magotrain at various police checking points. Manpreet Kaur Founder Director was also present on the occasion.
Chairman, Health and Sanitation Committee Jammu Municipal Corporation Baldev Singh Billawaria distributed ration among the children of Jigar Organisation, which is being run by Sandhya Dhar. Ranjit Singh, Mulk Raj, Hari Singh, Jugal Kishore and many others were also present on the occasion.
Kotli Mahajan Sabha, Rehari Colony distributed free ration to the needy residents of Ward Numbers 24 and 25 of Rehari Colony Jammu. Ashok Gupta President Kotli Mahajan Sabha, Pardeep Gupta General Secretary, Balbir Gupta Cashier, Dr Punit Choudhary Vice President and Publicity Secretary, Deepak Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Rohit Gupta and Subash Gupta Executive members were present on the occasion.
Umar Educational and Welfare Trust Bhalessa Doda led by its Chairman Ishtyak Ahmed Malik delivered free ration and other essential commodities among 36 beneficiaries of tehsil Chilly Pingal, 2 families of Teh Bhalessa and 2 labourers from Bihar, which were identified by Sub divisional administration /PRIs in presence of SDPO Gandoh M Nawaz Khanday.
The teams of Block Congress Committees continued out relief measures for the poor and needy people in Nowshera and Sunderbani areas of the district Rajouri under the instructions of former MLC Ravinder Sharma. BCC Nowshera through city committee under leadership of Vijay Bakshi Councillor organized home delivery of relief to several deserving families. President block Som Raj, Ashok Sharma, General Secretary DCC, Mukand Lal, Gourav, Raj Kumar, Pashori Lal, Puran Sharma, Ram Lal, Sham Lal and Summet Bali were present on the occasion. Similar exercise was undertaken in Sunderbani by the team of Congress, Youth Congress and NSUI. Block President Dwarka Nath, DFO NC Sharma, Suraj Raina, Adv Manik Raina, Pt Rameshwar Ashwani Sharma, Sarbjeet, Pinka Prasher, Govind Soodan and Sanjay Kumar provided voluntary service on the occasion.
Daughters of Panun Kashmir (DoPK) and Inspire Foundation organized jointly an event of distribution of ration, masks and cash assistance to the needy and deserved families of migrant labour families in Ward Number 39 of Jammu City. On the occasion, two of their camps in Patoli and Tope Sherkhania were included in the ration distribution exercise. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, Senior BJP and Kashmiri Pandit leader was the chief guest on the occasion while Vijay Raina, Sarpanch-Chawalgam (Kulgam), Prabhat Singh Jamwal, State Treasurer, BJP, Virender Raina, President, Panun Kashmir and Rakesh Kaul, Councillor, Mattan Municipal Committee were the special guests on the occasion.
