JAMMU, Apr 26: Senior Citizens Council (SCC), Kishtwar has made an appeal to District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh to ensure availability of essential commodities in the district during the lockdown period.
In a statement issued here, today R L Parihar, president of the Council urged the DDC to issue directives to Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department to ensure the supply of ration in the district especially in far-flung areas besides the PHE and PDD authorities be directed to make availability of power and clean water supply during the holy month of Ramdhan.
The meeting complimented both DDC Rajinder Singh, and SSP Kishtwar , Harmeet Singh for their efforts in implementation of lock down totally in the district and said that the people of Kishtwar also deserve all praise in rendering their cooperation to administration in this regard. They said both DDC and SSP Kishtwar took effective measures in making the lockdown success. Parihar assured full cooperation to district authorities on behalf of people in future also saying we all have to remain untied to defeat this dreaded virus.
