9 injured in clashes

Srinagar, Apr 5: At least 9 persons were injured in clashes that broke out after Friday prayers in Srinagar and Baramulla today.
A police spokesman said that situation remained normal across Valley today. Two incidents of minor stone pelting were reported from Gojwara in Srinagar and Baramulla old town in which three persons were injured.
Reports said that soon after the Friday prayers youth pelted stones on police and para-military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Saraf Kadal area of Srinagar leading to clashes. Police charged batons and fired tear smoke shells to disperse  them. Three persons were injured in the clashes.
Clashes also broke out in Baramulla in North Kashmir after protesters pelted stones on Police and CRPF at several places in the dstrict. Police charged batons and fired tear smoke shells to disperse  them. Six persons were injured in the clashes.
