As many as 567 residents of J&K left for their hometowns from Hoshiarpur

HOSHIARPUR, Apr 28: As many as 567 residents of Jammu and Kashmir left for their hometowns by 23 buses on Tuesday. The office of the District Public Relation Office, Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, Apneet Riyait stated that these persons were sent to their houses free of cost in Jammu and Kashmir.

The step taken by the Punjab government to send them to their hometowns keeping in view the ongoing Ramzaan festival was being appreciated all-around, she claimed.   She said that these persons were struck in various parts of the district due to imposition of curfew to prevent the spread of novel covid-19 disease.

During their stay in the district all the aforesaid persons were well nurtured by the administration.  The press release claimed that the said persons were very happy to return their houses today.

They said that  they were not only provided essential items during the curfew but also now being sent to their houses for free for which they are thankful to the Punjab government.  One such person Ejaz Ahmed Shah said that the gift given by the Punjab government on the auspicious occasion of Ramzaan was heartfelt.

After reaching their homes they all observed fast and pray for the prosperity of Punjab.  Nazir Ahmed Shah said that today was the fourth day of Ramzaan and he used to pray everyday to return his home. He was very much happy to go home today and he was looking forward to meet his family. Many other also expressed the same views. (UNI)
