Cluster University Jammu organizes webinar on ‘Coaching for Resilience’

JAMMU, Apr 28: A webinar on ‘Coaching for Resilience: Balance, Change and Conflict’ was organised by the office of Dean Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu for the students and faculty of PGI Schools of the University.
The webinar was divided into two sessions, with an active and vibrant participation of 200 students from the Schools of Liberal Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Teacher Education, Sciences and Engineering and Computer Technology.
Sunaina Tickoo, Founder & CEO Brainpreneurs- a certified Neuro Leadership Institute and a leading Enterpreneur and Neuro leadership practitioner, was the Resource Person from Bangalore.
Prof Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor CLUJ, who chaired the forenoon discourse, said that the mental well being of the students is equally significant and crucial as academia. She assured unyielding help and assistance from the university to overcome this crisis.
Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu, chaired the afternoon session and talked about the need for a coherent response from all the stakeholders during these trying circumstances. He advised the students to actively participate in all such online activities to broaden their knowledge horizons and benefit from the acumen of the eminent academicians and instructors.
Sunaina Tickoo deliberated at length and explained the true meaning of resilience and the neuroscience of mastering life’s greatest challenges. She dwelt on how different people are trying to adapt to the pandemic situation and figuring out ways to cope with it. She focussed on specific resilience factors such as facing fear, balancing act, optimism and social support. Each factor was explained in detail through personal experiences and reflections of highly resilient survivors.
Both the sessions were followed by an interactive question- answer session. Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare, opined that the webinar and activities of the kind are an effort to connect, uplift and rekindle the spirit and mood of the young learners in this lockdown period.
