SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Former Union Minister and Ex PCC president, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz today advised the Union Territory Administration to institute a ‘Medical Task Force’ for ensuring proper medical treatment of not only Covid-19 positive cases, but also to critical patients in other areas.
“While the first attention must go to the treatment of Covid-19 positive cases, the chronic patients in other critical areas such as cancer should not suffer any kind of neglect,” he said in a statement, issued here today.
He stressed that at this critical juncture, all Government hospitals and private medical facilities need to work in close coordination to deal with current situation on ground.
“It can be nobody’s case that Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Administration is not doing what it should do in these difficult times. But, it is now in public knowledge that the Medical system is over stretched to answer the requirements in respect of Public Health, adequately,” he said and added that the general run of Doctors, Nurses and other Para-Medical staff in the J&K Union Territory have set a very good example of dedication to the cause of health care system.
