Terminated paramedicos’ protest enters 26th day

JAMMU, Apr 28: The terminated paramedical staff selected under SRO 24 continued its peaceful protest for last 26th day in the premises of Associated Hospital Medical College Kathua is support of their demands to get extension letter to continue their services.
The protestors Anuradha Jamwal, Pooja Kumari, Anju Kumari, Ajay Gupta, Yudhvir and Ishfaq Ahmed said that the Government is taking undue benefits of contractual staff and engage them in job without any extension order. They alleged that they are working hard day and night in such tough circumstances when country is fighting Corona Virus.
“We continued our job on the assurance of administration that they will get extension letter but despite the passing of 26 days nothing has been done in this context and Health Administration has gone in coma after terminating us”.
They said that 247 paramedical workers in Kathua and 1275 worker in Jammu province are working in different hospitals. But the contractual paramedical staff working in Kashmir division was given extension while in Jammu province professional youths are harassed and thrown away of hospitals.
They demanded to issue the extension letter to in their favour immediately.
