The VHP J&K working president, Rajinder Gupta has written a letter to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in this regard demanding a probe through Central agency in the matter to unmask the conspiracy and exemplary punishment to culprits.
The excerpts of the letter are “The whole country is shocked by the ruthless killings in the presence of the police after the robbery of Sant Kalpavriksha Giri Ji, Sant Sushil Giri Ji and his driver Nilesh Talpade of Juna Akhara in Dahanu, Palghar, Maharashtra on April 16”.
It said “All the religious minded people of entire India, Sant Samaj and all the activists of VHP are hurt by these ruthless murders,. In view of the seriousness of this issue, VHP’s Central team and all the State units of India have asked the State Government of Maharashtra to take appropriate investigative steps. But the society is not satisfied with the manner of investigation by Maharashtra Government to uncover robbery and murders of the Sadhus in the presence of police,. This somehow puts Maharashtra police’s role in doubt”. “The society across India sees you as protector and demands justice”.
