JAMMU, Apr 29: Director Accounts and Treasuries (A&T), Jammu, Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan inspected various Treasuries in Jammu City and reviewed their functioning.
The Director paid visit to Sadder Treasury Town Hall Jammu, Additional Treasury New Plot, Addl Treasury Gandhi Nagar and Addl Treasury Talab Tilloo, Muthi, Jammu today and took a stock of Treasury functioning amid COVID-19 pandemic.
An official spokesman said as the previous financial year 2019-20 has recently been closed and the accounts for the month of March 2020 were to be submitted to the concerned quarters within stipulated time, the Director took a detailed review of the rendition of accounts of all these Treasuries. Chauhan issued on the spot instructions to the Treasury Officers not to delay any account which shall later on result in unnecessary raising of objections from the concerned quarters.
The Director A&T also issued on the spot instructions to the staff of Treasuries to strictly implement the Government advisories issued on COVID-19 from time to time and also directed to wear mandatory face masks, maintain social distancing and sanitize the Treasuries. The Treasury Officers were further directed to keep the office premises and its vicinity neat and clean in order to contain the spread of pandemic. He also asked officers and staff to attend visiting elderly people on priority and address their issues instantly as per the health advisories.
Chauhan also enquired on spot about the implementation of JKPaySys and e-Kuber in the Treasuries. He also directed all the Treasury Officers to verify the CPIS accounts of the employees in respect of their DDOs and organize workshops in their respective Treasuries, strictly adhering to the guidelines issued in respect of COVID-19 and to redress the issues of all the DDOs on account of PaySys which stands implemented in the City Treasuries since August 2019.
