JAMMU, Apr 29: American Oncology Institute (AOI) today announced the launch of video consultation services for patents in Jammu and also in Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Coimbatore, Hissar, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Nagpur and Vijayawada during the COVID-19 lockdown for cancer patients.
This decision was taken for the cancer patients to ensure that they get the health care advice during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The AOI in a statement issued here, today said as Cancer does not stop, the Institute has launched virtual consultation for the benefit of Cancer patients.
The statement said cancer is not one time treatment and in the current circumstances, routine medical check up or treatment of cancer patents is affected. Continuing care of cancer patents is the need of the hour, it added.
It said at AOI, every patent’s health and well being is a priority and to ensure access to good care, AOI has launched a platform for Cancer patients to consult the doctors via Video call during the lockdown. This initiative eliminates the constraints of visiting a hospital during the lockdown and patients from anywhere in India can consult the AOI team of Cancer experts through a Video call, the handout added.
Video consultation appointments can be made on the official website of the AOI https://www.americanoncology.com/. The patients can connect with renowned doctors of any AOI hospitals between 9am to 5pm on all weekdays, the release said.
