KKHMS expresses serious concern over piling up of migrants issues

JAMMU, Apr 29: Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan, chairman, Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS) today expressed serious concern over delay in resolving various issues of relief holders who are reeling under pathetic conditions from a long period of time.
Mahajan said the cash doles given by the Government to relief holders is not sufficient to meet their day to day expenses in view of present price hike of daily commodities and other basic necessities like medicine , doctors fee , tests and treatment and school fees of children etc. He said widows having no source of income are also in desperation. He appealed the Government to enhance the monthly cash assistance.
He said that many migrant patients are already under financial crunch and their reimbursement of medi-claim bills are deliberately kept in pendency which is a serious issue and he demanded that these bills be cleared immediately without delay. This will provide a big relief to migrants during the time COVID-19 pandemic, he added.
Mahajan who was addressing a meeting of the Maha Sabha through video conferencing however complimented Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants, T. K Bhat including all frontline field staff who have taken initiative round the clock to fight against the spread of Coronavirus and ensuring timely necessary preventive measures during the lockdown and providing all essential items and health services in advance to safe guard the life of migrants from deadly pandemic.
