2 booked for escaping, hiding travel history

SAMBA, Apr 29: Samba police re-lodged a person into quarantine center within some minutes after he escaped from there and arrested another person who has kept his travel history hidden and also lodged him in the Quarantine Center. The police also registered cases against them.
As per reports a police team of Police Station, Ghagwal brought back one person immediately after he escaped from the Quarantine Centre and registered a case against him.
Acting on the information about escape of one person from the Quarantine Centre, Shivam Resort Nonath, Ghagwal, Police team of PS Ghagwal immediately swung into action, traced out the escaped person as soon as he deliberately left the Quarantine Centre and was lodged back to same Quarantine Centre.
He has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, S/o Ram Ditta R/o Jasath, Ghagwal.
He knew that the disease is dangerous to life but despite that he has done this act by leaving the Quarantine Center which may cause the spreading of epidemic i.e. COVID -19.
A case FIR No. 39/2020 US 188/269/270 IPC got registered at PS Ghagwal.
Police also booked another person under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Samba for violation of lockdown orders while travelling from outside J&K to his native village.
Police party of PP Rakh Amb-Talli traced a man from his native village Panjtilla, Samba who had travelled from Delhi to Samba in a truck carrying essential commodities and had not disclosed his travel history to the authorities.
The person namely Sumeet Singh, S/o Joginder Singh of Panjtilla, Samba was immediately lodged in Quarantine Centre at Ghagwal with the assistance of Health Department and a case FIR No 103/2020 US 269/270/188 IPC was registered against him at P/S Samba for hiding his travelling history. He crossed various red zones all the way, thereby putting the lives of others at risk.
