JAMMU, Apr 29: JKEST Welfare Society and Allied Association President Retd DC Excise Vijay Sharma has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu to come out clear on the Universal Health Insurance scheme launched by the Central Government for residents of J&K UT particularly employees and pensioners.
Sharma said that an order issued by Health and Medical Education Department of Government of JK UT in this regard for admission in the prescribed hospital for treatment is not being honored.
“In the letter issued by Financial Commissioner Atul Dulloo, it was clarified that Adhaar Card will be considered as admit card in the hospitals instead of any other card for Health Insurance Scheme under Ayushman Bharat Scheme of Central Government for residents of JK UT”, he added.
President said when hospitals authorities are being approached they said no guidelines have been issued by the JK UT Government in this regard.
He urged upon the concerned authorities that this confusion should be clarified at an earliest to enable the residents of JK UT to get benefited from the Universal Health Insurance scheme.
