15 shops, petrol pump sealed, 2 vehicles seized

BARAMULLA, May 2: Acting tough against all such elements who are violating the prescribed health norms and guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today sealed about 15 shops and seized two vehicles for indulging in lockdown and other related violations.
DC also sealed a petrol pump for fuelling such vehicles who were plying on the roads without valid movement passes.

DC acted against such miscreants during inspection to several locations of the district in order to take review of the implementation of lockdown and other related health advisories issued for containing COVID-19 pandemic. DC also inspected some designated vegetable and other commodities sales outlets to take the appraisal of the situation in the wake of prevailing circumstances.
On the occasion, DC took a brief review of the situation especially the vehicular movement on National Highway during which he deliberated on implementing all the related advisories in letter and spirit. DC also inspects several movement passes to check their authenticity. He directed the concerned authorities to properly look whether genuine passes are being carried by the individuals.
