SAMBA, May 2: District administration Samba today allowed opening of shops with certain restriction in view of the directions issued by Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India.
Deputy Commissioner Rohit Khajuria today ordered restricted operation of shops of stationery, fans/coolers(electric), groceries, bakeries, poultry, mobiles in addition to already sanctioned opening of shops of medicines, lab testing, medical practitioners (Doctors Clinic) and milk, vegetable, fruits by following strict timing and detailed schedule in the district.
The DC informed that three categories of shops have been devised to be operational in the district. The first category of shops operating daily, 7 days a week including medicines, testing labs, Doctors Clinic (all medical facilities) and milk, vegetables, fruits, bakery poultry etc shops.
Besides, in second category of shops will operate 5 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) including grocery shops, while the third category of shops will operate twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) including stationary, mobiles and fans & coolers (electrical) shops. All the permitted shops will operate from 8am to 11 am only.
The DC said that all these shops owners shall strictly abide the schedules and timings ordered while only 50% of the employee shall be present in shops at any given time. He further laid emphasis upon wearing masks and maintaining social distancing while visiting any shops. He also stressed that each shops shall have provision of sanitizers and soaps to employees and customers.
He has directed to mandatorily download the Arogya Setu mobile app and enable technology help each other. He further ordered the extension of lockdown period till May 17 and appealed the general public to follow the government directions and only come out of their houses in unavoidable circumstances.
