AJKTC Agents Association demands financial package

JAMMU, May 2: All J&K Motors Transport Companies (AJKTC) Representatives/Agents Association has demanded financial package for the workers of the Association for giving proper service to the general public.
Gajan Singh, President of the Association, who is also President of State Akali Dal has appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of J&K Union Territory to take initiative of suggesting Union Home Ministry to announce financial package to the loss bearers, especially the daily wagers including the members and workers of (AJKTC) Representatives/Agents Association.
He appealed to the general public, especially to the Sikh community and the workers of the Association, to strictly adhere to the Government guidelines in order to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
He said staying at home, maintaining social distancing, washing hands with soap frequently and using sanitizers is the only way to defeat the deadly Coronavirus.
He further said that it was everybody’s duty to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is repeatedly appealing the people to stay at home and stay safe.
“I being the President of the Association request LG to kindly announce a financial package in favour of 100 registered poor workers of the Association, so that they can run their families during the ongoing crisis,” Gajan said.
