Young Writers Guild organizes online literary programme

JAMMU, May 4: Amid the current lockdown, Young Writers Guild Jammu organized an online literary programme.
The theme of the programme was ‘ Involvement of Youths and Children in Literary Activities ’. Through online mode, the function was attended by a galaxy of literary persons based at Jammu. J N Sagar, renowned poet, presided over the function while Rinko Koul conducted the proceedings.
The programme started with the recitation of Sharda Vandana by a little girl, Amisha Pandit. The speakers who spoke in detail on the topic, included Saraswati Koul, B N Betab, Satish Safeer, A K Naz and J N Sagar.
In their respective speeches, all the speakers deliberated on the ways and means of promoting literary activities among youths and children. They suggested that children should be invited to literary programmes and their involvement must be encouraged.
In his presidential address, J N Sagar stressed on involving youths and children in preservation of language, literature and culture.
