JAMMU, May 4: Distri-bution of ration and essential items among needy persons continued here today.
Gandhi Global Family J&K distributed fresh vegetables among 150 needy labour families, identified by Police Chowki Panjtirthi, Jammu. Relief material was distributed by GGF J&K in presence of GGF President J&K, Padmashri Dr S P Varma at Labour Basti, Circular Road, Jammu. Raj Kumar Langer President Goushala Ambphala, Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu, Subash Dogra GGF member, Amit Varma, Sanjeev Kohli, Raghav Changotra, Choudhary Amanat Ali and Ankush Varma distributed the material among the needy families.
Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa distributed ration and masks among the needy people at different places which include Gorkha Nagar, Sheikh Nagar, and adjoining areas of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. Around hundred needy families were provided with ration kits and masks. Others who were present on the occasion include Neeraj Puri Mandal Pradhan, Ajay Sharma, Subash Chander, Naseeb Singh, Anil Sharma and Anmol Gupta.
RSS Swayamsevaks distributed ration in the localities of New Plots, Chand Nagar, Chowadi, Beli Charana, Sidhra, Santra Morh, Pauni Chak and Roop Nagar. RSS is also running a community kitchen at Nai Basti which feed nearly eight hundred souls daily.
Dogra Sanghthan provided dry ration to 60 needy families under the direction of SDPO Bakshi Nagar Amit Sharma at Christian Colony, New Plot, Sarwal, Toph Sharekhania, Patoli and Janipur Colony areas.
Former Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban and BJP Leader Neelam Kumar Langeh distributed dry food items to the poor and needy families of Bakshi Nagar area of Ramban district.
Kashmiri Pandit Corona Fighters (KPCF)-a self volunteer Group headed by Chandigarh based social activist (KP Blood Bank) and entrepreneur by Profession Ashwani Sadhu has distributed essential items among the needy people in Jammu City, Rajouri, RS Pura, Jagti township and parts of Kashmir Valley. Vikram Koul and many others extended their support for their noble cause.
Under the leadership of Presidents KDD TN Bhat, Vice President Makhan Lal, Social Worker Veer Ji Pandita and President BJYM Rahul Koul along with members of Surya Booth Paloura distributed dry ration packets to needy families in High Court area. Councillor Sanjay Baru, Councillor MC Mattan Sunny Tickoo, Booth President Tej Krishan Kichloo and BJYM Karyikartas namely Nitin, Aditya Pandita, Ayush Bhat, Rahul Pandita and Sachin Ambardar were also present.
Durga Nagar Welfare Committee distributed food items in Kalashpati lane and its surrounding areas among the poor and needy people. President of the Committee Roshan Lal Raina, General Secretary Behari Lal, Sanjay Sharma, Makhan Lal, Rahul and BJP workers were present on the occasion.
